The Journey Continues ... #7

The following scripture has been encouraging to me this past month. I trust it will encourage you.

"He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as he hears it, he answers you. And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction yet your Teacher will not hide himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher. And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it," when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. Isaiah 30:19 - 21

It is April 2011 and it is a beautiful spring. I have mowed my lawn two times, planted some flowers. This lawn takes me only 30 minutes to mow. In Spokane it took 2 hours to mow and filled my trash to over flowing.

Ruth is enjoying her Tuesday morning Women’s Bible study. She is the “coffee lady”. Thursday morning I join three other men for Bible study and fellowship. We are enjoying attending Gateway Church in Washougal.

We enjoyed our time with Mary Anne at our home for four days while Brad was in Iraq for a ministry trip for their church.

Last month Ryan, Theresa, Ellie and Maelin came to our home in Washougal to visit. It was a great time and Nana and I were in our glory. We went to the Zoo but could not find any parking near the entrance since it was spring break in Portland and it was a “zoo” at the Zoo. So we went to Lloyd’s shopping mall and Nana, Theresa and Maelin shopped for Maelin’s dedication dress. Ryan, Ellie and Grandpa went to the ice skating area at Lloyds and Ellie loved watching all the skaters. We included lunch at Nordstrom’s to our afternoon.

Ellie enjoyed “Elmo” and all the new toys to play with at Nana’s. Ryan and I took a trip up the Washougal River, checked out some great fishing holes and some places for running the rapids. He was ready to do it but we did not have a raft.

We are looking forward to having Regan, Amy and Kate move to our area. It will still be about 1 hour from our house but it is better than traveling 6 to 7 hours to see them in Spokane. We are going to help them move into there new condo in Hillsboro, OR.
